The UK adult edition of Angie Thomas’s The Hate U Give released in early August. This edition, which has the same content as the YA version, features different cover art than the teen edition.
In The Hate U Give, Starr Carter has learned to balance her dual life: attending an affluent prep school while living in a low-income neighborhood. When she witnesses the murder of her best friend Khalil, her two worlds collide and Starr must decide what risks she must take in order to get justice for her friend.
The bestselling young adult novel originally published back in February 2017 and is available in hardback, paperback, eBook, audio book and collector’s edition. In the UK, an adult edition’s cover was released to be more in-line with adult covers and to appeal to a wider audience. It will be placed on different shelves in bookstores.
