Warner Brothers acquired film rights for Jonah Lisa Dyer and Stephen Dyer’s The Season, a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice set in Texas high society.
In The Season, Megan McKnight is a sharp-tongued soccer star whose mother secretly enters her as a debutante for this year’s season. Her rebellious side quickly puts her on probation, and she has one month to act the part of a proper Texan girl, or get thrown out of the season and disgrace her family. The Season movie will be produced by Temple Hill, whose work on YA films includes Twilight, The Maze Runner, The Fault in Our Stars and Simon vs. The Homosapiens Agenda.
The Season is available now. For more from Jonah Lisa and Stephen, visit their website or follow Jonah Lisa on .
