LINE Manga announced an biweekly adaptation of Lost Stars by Claudia Gray last month. The first issue released May 4 with new issues releasing every other Thursday for Japanese readers.
Lost Stars is the story of Ciena Ree and Thane Kyrell, childhood friends who always dreamed of joining the Imperial Academy and becoming pilots. As they move further up the ranks and fall in love, they come face to face with the brutality of the Empire and Thane flees, joining the Rebellion and placing them on the opposite sides of the war.
The manga will be drawn by Yūsaku Komiyama, illustrator of Avengers: Zombie Assemble.
The adaptation joins the ranks of other Star Wars manga in Japan. Almost all of the Star Wars films have been adapted into manga and sold in both Japan and North America.
An English translation of the Lost Stars manga has not been announced yet.
