Bailee Madison will star in the upcoming film adaptation of Rachel Bateman’s Someone Else’s Summer. Beth Grossbard’s company optioned the rights, with Grossbard set to produce.
In Someone Else’s Summer, the death of Anna’s older sister, Storm, rattles Anna and her family’s worlds. But then she finds Storm’s summer bucket list and decides that this is the best way she can honor her sister. Leaving her sleepy hometown in Iowa behind, Anna sets off with her sister’s best friend on a road trip across the country to accomplish all the things Storm wanted to do that summer, but never got the chance.
“I’m thrilled such incredible talent is attached to this,” Bateman told Variety. “This story is extremely special to me and I can’t wait to see it brought to life on the screen.”
Madison is known for her roles in Hallmark Channel’s “Good Witch” and ABC’s “Trophy Wife.” She also had a recurring role in Freeform’s “The Fosters.”
